Research Abstract

光配向制御可能なポリイミド膜をテンプレート基板として用いることにより、有機半導体分子の配向を制御することに成功した。ペンタセン(有機トランジスタの活性層材料として注目されている低分子有機半導体)の場合、ポリイミド分子鎖の配向秩序度に依存して分子面の配向容易軸が90度回転するという興味深い現象を発見した。また、極薄ポリイミド光配向膜を用いてポリフルオレン(高分子発光材料)を配向させることにより、青色偏光高分子電界発光素子を作製することに成功した。
