Research Abstract

本研究では独立駆動型のマルチプローブによる表面磁気抵抗測定装置を世界に先駆けて開発した。本システムを用いれば (i)超高真空(10-^11~10^-10Torr)、(ii)強磁場(7T)、(iii)低温(<10K)の実験条件下での磁気抵抗測定が可能であり、また設置されたツイン・プローブステージでは測定対象に応じて、STM 探針、マイクロ4端子プローブ、マルチ配置用マクロプローブを超高真空下で交換できるようになっている。
固体表面上のナノ金属薄膜の表面磁気抵抗測定に成功し、ナノスケールから原子レベルでの磁気輸送研究への新しい実験方法が確立した。
