Research Abstract

炭素材料へのイオンビーム照射という簡便な手法によって、カーボンナノファイバー(CNF)が、室温で高密度に合成可能であった。このイオン誘起CNFは、電界によって電子を放出する電界電子放射源として有用であった。このCNF電子源は、電子放射中にCNFが損傷を受けても自己再生する機能も併せ持っていた。プラスチック基板上にCNFを合成することで、自在に曲がり湾曲状態でも長時間動作可能なオールプラスチック製フレキシブルディスプレイが試作された。
