Research Abstract

本研究は、真空中に電子銃と光あるいはミリ波が伝播できる誘電体導波路を配置し、導波路表面から真空中に染み出した光やミリ波の一部を、電子銃から出射した電子ビームで励振し、光あるいはミリ波の発生や増幅を行う装置の開発を目指しているものである。光については、波長1.5μm付近で提案している原理での発光を観測し、発光のメカニズムを詳細に解析できた。ミリ波については、放射の兆候は見られたが明確な結果を得るには至らなかった。
