Research Abstract

:超伝導トンネル接合におけるリーク電流の低減に関する理論的、実験的な研究を行い、リーク電流が著しく小さく、ギャップ電圧で急激な電流の立ち上がりを示す、ほぼ理想的な超伝導トンネル接合素子を再現良く製作できる技術を確立できた。こうして得られた超伝導トンネル接合素子を使用した雑音源回路モジュールを開発し、マイクロ波帯雑音源としての動作の実証に成功した。また、この雑音源を用いて、冷却低雑音アンプの雑音温度を測定し、半導体ダイオードを用いた雑音源との比較を行ったところ、超伝導トンネル接合素子からほぼ理論通りの雑音出力が得られることが明らかになった。
