| Research Abstract |
ろ過能力が大きく、湖沼の水質浄化に貢献するイシガイ科二枚貝の生息に必要な底質環境に関して、異なる底質(砂利、砂、泥(荒木田土))を再現した実験池においてドブガイを用いて評価した。その結果、1)砂と泥はドブガイの行動パターンの選択幅が広い。2)砂利はドブガイの成長に対し、負に影響する。3)砂と泥の底質において、ドブガイの性成熟個体(殻長>50mm)が発生した。ドブガイの生息環境として、砂や泥が適当な底質である。
