Research Abstract

"The construction to hear" is a framework for catching human scale space from a viewpoint of sound/hearing, and building the space form and the space domain. Paying attention to the correlativity of sound environment/hearing, and space recognition, it regarded as an integrative feeling element and it not only considers sound as a hearing stimulus, but investigated the possibility of new space domain formation and space design from a total viewpoint of environment and scene="landscape (homme varnish cape) of sound" by sound environment/hearing. In actual research, the originality of the method of research itself was also investigated and research was advanced. In order that the hearing problem with which the conventional construction and a space design deal might access space through sound/hearing in a restrictive situation from more various viewpoints, "the image book of sound" was created, and correlation of sound/hearing, and space was analyzed. Moreover, fieldwork of the sound in th … More e Hellenic Republic, Kumano Motomiya Taisha, and Yaku Islands was performed, and investigation and analysis were conducted on many sides about the sound environment in urban space and natural environment. Furthermore, in order to take in ultramodern sound technology positively to a space design, the installation which uses the "sound camera" which visualizes sound was carried out, and exhibition by a stereophonic sound system was proposed. It lets the various researches which are not caught by the past method of research about the correlativity of the sound/hearing, and space over these two years pass. The new place for hearing intentionally the space design technique and sound which are generated by the proposal of construction space which utilized engineering acoustics technology, such as a sound camera, a super-directivity speaker, and a stereophonic sound system, and hearing spatial perception is proposed, and it came to show the directivity to "the construction to hear", and possibility.
