| Research Abstract |
日本の宮殿建築の特徴を、そこで開かれた儀式の歴史的変化やアジアの宮殿儀式との比較により解明することを目的として研究を実施した。日本の宮殿儀式が儀式の性格に応じて、大極殿院、豊楽院、武徳殿、内裏、神泉苑を使い分けていたことにまず特徴があること、一方で内裏にそうした儀式が収斂していく傾向も早くからあり、それが内裏正殿である紫宸殿の空間や清凉殿の使い方に強い影響を与えていることなどが明らかにできた。また、古代の宮殿儀式を見ると、中国の影響はあるものの、韓国王朝やベトナムのグェン王朝とは異なり、日本的な要素が実はかなり強いことが確認できた。
