Research Abstract

圧延したマグネシウム合金の室温引張変形中に形成される変形双晶において、変形初期に形成される{10-12}双晶、ならびに変形後期に形成される{10-11}双晶、{10-13}-{10-12}二重双晶は、顕著な表面起伏を伴わない。また、{10-11}-{10-12}二重双晶も一次・二次双晶のせん断面が異なる場合は顕著な表面起伏を伴わない。一方で、せん断面が同じ{10-11}-{10-12}二重双晶だけが局所的大変形を生じて顕著な表面起伏を伴い、破壊起点になることが明らかになった。
