Research Abstract

核融合炉の壁材料として最も有力なタングステン材に、ELM(Edge Localized Mode)と呼ばれる不安定性により与えられる熱パルスと同等の熱負荷をパルスレーザーで繰り返し与え、タングステンの表面損傷の発生条件を調べた。その結果、熱疲労により表面損傷が発生する閾値を明らかにし、表面損傷発生が試料温度、材料組織、及び表面不純物(炭素、酸素)に強く依存することを明らかにした。
