Research Abstract

植物の種子生産は、適応度に直接関わる重要な形質である。そのため、種子生産に関して非常にさまざまな研究が行われてきている。そして、いくつかの興味深い研究の流れが形成されてきた。その中に、種子生産における雄親と雌親の対立・親子の対立に関する研究(Queller 1994など多数)と、胚珠(花)の余剰生産に関する研究(Stephenson 1981 など多数)がある。本研究では、この二つの理論を統合し、子生産戦略を統一的に捉える新理論を構築することに成功した。
