Research Abstract

キノコ類は形が単純であり、種の分類・識別に使える情報が少ない。したがって、これまで分類学的に認識されてきたキノコの種には、形で区別することが難しいが、生物学的には別の種(隠蔽種と呼ばれる)が複数、含まれている可能性が高い。本研究では、最近、野生のキノコ類からでも容易に取り出せるようになったDNA レベルの分子情報を用いて、オニイグチ類というキノコの一群に多数の隠蔽種が含まれていることを明らかにした。
