Research Abstract

生体では神経伝達物質やホルモンなど様々な細胞から多様な生理活性物質が分泌される。開口放出はその分泌機構の中で最も重要なものである。神経細胞では、神経伝達物質が細胞膜近傍のアクティブゾーンと呼ばれる特殊な構造から分泌されるが、このような構造が神経細胞以外の細胞で、存在しかつ機能するかどうか不明であった。我々はマスト細胞というアレルギー誘発物質を分泌する細胞では、ELKSと呼ばれるタンパク質が刺激後細胞膜付近に移動して、分泌を正に制御することを明らかにした。
