Research Abstract |
イネの収量性に直結する草型決定に関わる突然変異体を用いて原因遺伝子を同定し、その遺伝要因を明らかにすることを目的に研究を進めた結果、Ssi1 やS1r1-dは草丈を優性形質として抑制するが、草型自体は大きく変更しないことが判明した。一方、既知のブラシノライド関連変異体や、本研究で対象としたTLA変異体などでは、直立葉やその逆の形態的特徴を表現し、草丈の制御とともに草型を大きく変更する機能を示すことが判明した。Ssi1 とTla1 の原因遺伝子を単離し前者については既に成果を公表した。
