Research Abstract |
The multiple-herbicide resistant biotype of a rice paddy weed Echinocloa oryzicola, which was found in 1966 at the rice production area of Sacramento, California, was studied on the resistant mechanism(s) and its inheritance. Results of the studies exhibited that the multiple-herbicide resistant biotype showed : Gene expression of 10 cytochrome P450s. Plural sets of alles that govern the herbicide resitance. No genotypic locus of AFLP markers commonly relating to the resistance to the four different herbicides. Several accessions of the resistant biotype had shallower seed dormancy than the counterpart of susceptible biotypes that varied in the depth of seed dormancy.
