Research Abstract

ペチュニアの2野生種を用いた雑種の蕾で発現している遺伝子のうち、重複のない2,976遺伝子を単離し、マイクロアレイを作成した。これを用いて、花冠の縁が緑色になる野生突然変異を解析したところ、緑色部分と通常の花冠で光合成関連遺伝子の発現量が異なった。これは花冠縁部の花器官化と葉器官化の決定を調節する転写因子が突然変異の原因であることが示唆された。さらに、原因遺伝子FBP2を特定し、トランスポゾンの挿入によることを示した。
