Research Abstract

チョウとガの仲間について遺伝子を染色体上に視覚化する手法によりカイコと比較したところ、現在繁栄しているグループでは性染色体のうちZ染色体は進化的に同一であることが示唆された。他方のW染色体は非常近縁な種間(同属間)ではこれを構成する配列に高い相同性が認められたが、他の属間では近縁であっても違いが認められた。なお、本研究では電気泳動により、遺伝子が性染色体に存在するか否かを特定できる簡便な手法も開発した。
