Research Abstract

樹木根系の現存量及び空間分布を明らかにするための新しい方法として、非破壊的で簡便な地中レーダ法の開発を試みた。マサ土実験区において、スギの根は地中レーダにより検出可能であり、レーダの波形パラメータ値と根直径との間に正の相関があること、根の重なりや土壌と根の水分比がレーダによる根の検出に大きく影響することが明らかになった。アカマツ林内でも、レーダにより太いアカマツ根の検出が可能であった。
