Research Abstract

海産ワムシ類Brachionus plicatilisは9~15種よりなる複合種である。本研究により、ワムシのサイズと増殖特性はワムシ株で異なるのみならず、悪環境におかれた場合の耐性も株間で異なることを見出し、株間の交雑を通じて増殖特性や環暁耐性に優れた新品種作出に成功した。また、遺伝子マーカーによる個々のワムシ株の同定技法を確立した。新品種のワムシを用いた、実際のヒラメ仔魚飼育を行い、仔魚用餌料としても使用可能であることを明らかにした。
