Research Abstract

鳥類における胚性幹細胞及び体性幹細胞の樹立および、それらの分化制御による再生を鳥類において試みた。胚性幹細胞はニワトリ胚盤葉明域中央部より採取した。胚性幹細胞をドナーとし、レシピエントに移植した。この結果、ドナー細胞は生殖細胞系列を含む各種の細胞系譜へと発生分化し得ることが確認された。体性幹細胞は、初生雛の大腿骨および脛骨由来の骨髄細胞から採取した。骨髄細胞をドナーとしレシピエント胚に移植したところ、移植した骨髄細胞はレシピエントの血管系や心臓部に集積し、キメラ体内で血管内皮細胞として再生した。以上の結果から鳥類幹細胞の分化制御により各種の臓器や器官を再生する新規の実験系を確立した。
