Research Abstract

1. イギリスウエッブリッジ獣医学研究所より供与していただいた牛海綿状脳症罹患牛血清成分の解析を行った結果、グリア線維性酸性蛋白質(GFAP)に対する自己抗体と抗原GFAPの逸脱を発見した。2.スクレーピーマウス感染実験系を確立し、プリオン病発症マウス血清中に低分子のペプチドを発見した。以上より、BSE牛血清中にGFAP自己抗体は神経細胞の崩壊によりGFAPの逸脱が生じていることが原因であり、これらを検出する事で生前診断できる可能性を示した。
