Research Abstract |
半乾燥地帯における植物の環境ストレス保護剤の開発を目的として、環境ストレスへの適応反応を誘導する植物ホルモン・アブシシン酸の代謝不活性化酵素に関する研究を行った。その結果、アブシシン酸水酸化酵素の選択的阻害剤の開発に成功するとともに、アブシシン酸の最終不活性化酵素であるファゼイン酸還元酵素活性の諸性質を明らかにした。これにより、アブシシン酸の不活性化制御による植物保護の道を拓いた。
