Research Abstract |
病原性大腸菌である腸管出血性大腸菌(EHEC), 腸管病原性大腸菌(EPEC)は, 共にIII 型分泌装置を介してエフェクターと呼ばれる病原因子を宿主細胞内に注入することが知られている。これら病原性大腸菌の機能未知なエフェクターについて網羅的な解析を行った結果, NleC はリボソームタンパク質S10 と相互作用することで, 宿主翻訳系を阻害するエフェクターであることを明らかにした。さらに, EspJ の宿主内での機能は精査中であるが, このエフェクターは感染時にミトコンドリアに局在することを明らかにした。
