Research Abstract

十二指腸、空腸および回腸の単離陰窩を用いてPaneth細胞由来抗菌ペプチドcryptdinの遺伝子発現定量および免疫局在解析を行って、すべてのcryptdin isoformは十二指腸、空腸に比べて回腸で発現が有意に多いことを明らかにした。回腸Paneth細胞分泌物の殺菌活性が最も強力であった。ヒトPaneth細胞分泌物およびα-defensinが未熟樹状細胞を化学遊走させることを明らかにし、Paneth細胞が炎症制御に関与することを示唆した。さらに、クローン病患者のα-defensin構造異常を明らかにし、抗菌ペプチドによる新規治療の可能性を示した。
