Research Abstract

我々はこれまでに、高脂血症治療薬statin の局所投与において、骨芽細胞促進・破骨細胞抑制効果を確認した。しかし局所投与では、薬剤を局所に長期間とどめることが困難であるため、強い骨増生効果は得られなかった。そこでstatin の局所投与が最大限の効果を発揮するためには、適切なドラッグデリバリーシステムおよび足場が必要であるとの仮説のもと、研究を行った。その結果、適切な条件下では、スタチンは局所(注射)投与によって骨形成を促進できることが示唆された。
