Research Abstract |
本研究課題では、独自の水熱法にて開発した柱状粒子セラミックスを用いて自家骨移植に代わる高機能な骨代替材料を開発することを目指す。水熱法にてハイドロキシアパタイト(HA)及びβ-TCPのブロック及び球状顆粒を作製し、家兎とラットの大腿骨に移植した。HAは生体内吸収性を示し、かつ周囲に多量の骨を形成した。一般にHAは生体内非吸収性であり、本研究で世界初の生体内吸収性HAを作製した。また、移植物周囲の骨形成に破骨細胞が直接関与していることを細胞培養実験で示した。
