Research Abstract |
ゴンドワナ大陸を起源とする陸塊には特徴的な動植物の分類群が大陸や生物地理区をまたいで隔離分布していることが古くから注目されてきた。本研究では、昆虫類の中でも分散力が比較的低く、地理的分布の形成史の推定に適した食材性昆虫類に注目し、ゴンドワナ大陸起原の陸塊に隔離分布している群を対象に、分子に基づく系統生物地理学的な研究を実施し、各分類群の起源や現在の分布パターン形成の様相を史的・空間的に明らかにした。
