| Research Abstract |
本研究は、中国と日本に残されている照葉樹林の構造と機能を、その主要構成植物群の一つであるシダ植物に着目して比較観察し、その異同と人為的影響を植物学的に明らかにすることを通じて、照葉樹林の持続性を考える科学的根拠を提供することを目的としている。植生調査、毎木調査、植物標本・試料の採集を行い、得られた解析結果をもとに、伐採や開発といった人間活動が照葉樹林に及ぼす影響について多角的視点から考察した。
