| Research Abstract |
胆道がんは難治がんであり、世界的に増加する傾向があるといわれている。タイ王国は、寄生虫感染が関連している肝内胆管がんのタイプの胆道がんの世界一多発地域である。この地区の住民について、生活習慣と遺伝的背景について分子疫学調査を行った。その結果、DNA修復酵素遺伝子の多型の一つがこの胆道がんの発症リスクと関連することが分かった。また、寄生虫の抽出物は、培養細胞の増殖を促進する活性があることが分かった。
