Research Abstract

東アフリカ・ケニアのサバンナと海岸の高温多湿な環境および西アフリカ・ガーナの雨緑樹林帯と高温多湿な海岸地帯を調査対象とした本研究により、アフリカ大陸横断的にマラリア蚊の吸血行動を調べた場合、ハマダラカの遺伝的背景よりは恐らく調査地の気候とくに湿度により吸血行動が影響を受けていることが強く示唆された。より狭い地域内での吸血頻度に関する変異はガンビアハマダラカの繁殖場所からの距離によりもっともよく説明された。
