Research Abstract

皮質視床シナプスは視床投射細胞に興奮性シナプスを形成すると同時に、その側枝は、抑制性細胞である網様体細胞にシナプスを形成し、網様体細胞から視床投射細胞に抑制性シナプスを作ることで、皮質視床シナプスは視床に対しfeed forward inhibition も与える。我々は、皮質視床シナプスのこれら二つの細胞へのシナプス伝達においてカイニン酸受容体がシナプス前性にそれぞれ相反した作用を持つことを明らかにし、皮質投射細胞へのシナプス伝達にはGluR5が関与していることも明らかになった。さらに、ニコチン受容体も皮質視床シナプスの伝達に寄与していることが明らかになった。
