Research Abstract

下オリーブ核から小脳への投射様式や平行線維の発達過程を蛍光トレーサーや免疫組織化学法を用いて調べた結果、P5-P7 の生後1 週の小脳においてLTD が発現する場所には苔状線維から入力を受けた平行線維と下オリーブ核の両方から入力を受けているプルキンエ細胞が存在し、機能的神経回路を作り始めていることが分かった。また、呼吸性活動をトリガーとして光学的測定法を行なった結果より、同じ呼吸相の活動が登上線維からと平行線維から小脳へ向かっていることが示唆された。これは、呼吸性活動が小脳神経回路の発達・形成に関与する可能性を示唆する。呼吸性活動は、発達初期に、小脳神経回路の活動依存的シナプス形成に深く関わっていると考えられた。
