Research Abstract

マイクロバブル併用療法が超音波化学療法の作用増強を認めなかった事より、癌細胞周囲の血管内のキャビテーション(バブルの崩壊)が、超音波化学療法に影響していなかった事が判明した。これにより、超音波化学療法の殺細胞効果のメカニズムは細胞内でのキャビテーションの発生による事が示唆されたため、より細胞内でキャビテーションが発生し易いと思われる低周波の超音波照射を施行した所、癌移植マウスで飛躍的に治療効果を高める事ができた。さらに電子顕微鏡で、癌細胞内のミトコンドリアが特異的に破壊される事実を発見した事で、今後、癌治療に新しい道を開くものと思われる。
