| Research Abstract |
小学生高学年(4年生~6年生)の骨量を3年間にわたり継続的に測定するとともに運動・食生活習慣との関連を調査し、骨量増加因子を分析した。小学高学年の骨量は、4・5年生では男女差は小さく、6年生で男女差が明確に認められた。女子では、小学校5年生までは男子と同じ傾向を示すが、小学校6年生で大きく骨量の増加を示した。骨量増加要因として運動の有無・時間が挙げられたが、小学校高学年女子では、学校体育以外の運動経験者は30%程度と減少し、問題を残していた。骨量教育は、小学校5年生から開始すべきである。
