Research Abstract

骨格筋委縮は、増加しつつある虚弱高齢者にとって深刻な問題であり、そのメカニズム解明は介護予防に貢献する。筋芽細胞は骨格筋再生を担う細胞であり、本研究では様々な細胞外基質や生体内細胞環境により近い3次元培養が筋芽細胞に及ぼす影響を検討した。また、ラットで、骨格筋委縮モデルや運動、カロリー制限による予防モデルを用い、蛋白分解酵素や糖代謝に与える影響を調べた。さらに、人における骨格筋委縮に関し、無重力状態である宇宙空間を模したモデルを用い、運動が骨格筋の形態や機能へ及ぼす影響や肥大・委縮関連シグナルの変化について調べた
