Research Abstract |
This research paper is report about a tiny e-Learning system in the P.SITE system that was improved by a distributed server system. The portal site for IT Education called the P.SITE system which we developed has a tiny e-Learning system. The P.SITE system is meaning Portal Site for IT Education system that was developed four year ago. This P.SITE system is running by Web application of 'Apache Tomcat' on Java application program. In this way, we made the P.SITE system by open source software application and libraries. This tiny e-Learning system had some problems that are weak point of security and server load unbalance. First, we have restructured the P.SITE system by the center server system and the local server system. And, we separated a tiny e-Learning system from the Web application server on the P.SITE. Next, we have installed only a tiny e-Learning system into the new distributed server system. And, we have allocated distributed server system on local area network at the High school campus. Then, when the client request a connection to tiny e-Learning system, the client can access to a tiny e-Learning system which not use the outside network. In this way, we have resolved about that problem of the security and server load unbalance. At last, we have developed automatic installer software package for the local server system. Because for the high school teacher who doesn't have an IT skill standard, can install the local server system easily to the local area network.
