Research Abstract |
自然水中における植物プランクトンの増殖を制御する技術として、生分解性キレート剤の添加が植物プランクトンの成長、及び、必須元素である微量鉄化学種の組成や生物学的有効性に与える影響を明らかにした。植物プランクトンの培養に対して、EDTA 等の一般的なキレート剤を多く与えると増殖が抑制されるが、生分解性キレート剤を与えると細胞内への鉄の取り込みが維持され、増殖が良好になることが分かった。
