Research Abstract

ガウジ(断層粘土)は岩盤の破壊に伴って、母岩が細粒化された結果生成されたものであり、断層破砕帯に普遍的に存在するものと考えられる。この物質は岩盤とは大きく異なり、細粒であるため、大変特殊な性質を持つことが期待される。その最も顕著な特性の1つは、せん断分極で、これのごく定性的な性質については以前に報告したが、今回は、岩盤のせん断破壊の予測について、その可能性を検討するための、分極メカニズムについて、より詳細に吟味を行った
