Research Abstract

中世神道論として最初に確立した伊勢神道の成立時期について検証し、平安後期の時点で外宮の祭神が皇御孫尊に変更されている点を伊勢神道(思想)の萌芽と位置づけた。その背景には、外宮祠官の活発な関東進出などがあげられるが、一方、外宮祠官でありながら内宮遷宮に深く関与している実態も明らかにした。また、平安後期から鎌倉期にかけて、比叡山延暦寺が北陸道に寺領を獲得していく過程で、日吉社神人が北陸道の白山神人と協調しながらことをすすめていることを明らかにし、白山信仰の全国伝播に大きく貢献したことを跡づけた。
