| Research Abstract |
To create a motivating classroom environment for young children learning English, it is essential to create an interesting teaching materials and environment. We focused on motivating young children using commercially available bilingual DVDs. We created a movie-based CALL system using such DVDs to raise children's motivation to learn English.
Along with this CALL system, we had the children actively engage in writing letters to children overseas. This has also helped them enhance motivation to continue English learning including reading and writing English.
