3年度にわたり、敦煌石窟莫高窟・西千仏石窟の壁画や浮彫、魏晋墓磚画、雲岡石窟、天龍山石窟の壁画や浮彫、龍門石窟の壁画や浮彫等の調査研究を行い、その研究成果として、雑誌論文や研究報告書等を公表した。
