Research Abstract

中世後期における地域社会と寺院について、南河内観心寺を中心に検討した。(1) 地域領主化と寺領形成とその特徴、(2) 寺領安堵等による中央本寺支配の消滅と守護権力の保証体制、(3) 学侶と禅衆の2僧衆による寺僧と2僧衆間の抗争、(4) 学侶の禅衆(行人)支配体制の維持、(5) 禅衆の縮小に伴う寺僧全体の縮小、(6) 学侶の葬礼活動等ついて指摘し、地域権力へ発展した同じ和泉・葛城山系の根来寺などとは、その歴史的展開を大きく異にする
