Research Abstract

メソポタミアの前3千年紀末に成立した王讃歌の正確な成立時期と作成目的について、研究者の間で一致した見解がなかった。前者について、ウル第三王朝の創始者ウルナンム治世に成立したことを論証した。後者については、従来の神殿祭儀と宮廷祭儀の二分法は有効でなく、王の自己表現という分析視点を据えることで、王権の正統な授与者であること、神々のために王権を誠実に行使することを唱うために作成されたと結論される。
