Research Abstract

従来、米国統治下フィリピンでのミンダナオ島支配は、植民地政府主導の開発政策の一環とされてきた。しかし本研究により、フィリピン人エリート政治家による積極的なキリスト教徒移住計画の法案化が前提にあることが判明した。同島へのフィリピン政治家の政治的・経済的関与、さらには米国植民地主義とフィリピン・ナショナリズムの共犯性も視野に入れながら、植民地国家フィリピン像を再検討する必要がある。
