Research Abstract

本研究は、香港の送金業者の企業文書を利用し、20世紀初頭から1960 年代までの華僑送金のシステムとその影響について検討した。送金は、香港を世界各地からの送金の中継地として、多様な通貨や為替レートの変動、そして中国内外の政治的混乱に対応して行われた。華僑送金が重要な外貨獲得源であったことから、中国共産党政府も送金の受け入れを奨励したが、文化大革命下の社会的圧力を受け、華僑送金は大きく減少した。
