| Research Abstract |
本研究の目的は、アメリカとドイツの公民教育の多様なカリキュラムや実践を比較研究の対象とし、「公共性」をどのようなものとしてとらえ、構造化されているかを理論的に考察・分析し、その特質を解明することである。本研究において明らかにしたことは次の3点である。(1)公共性の基盤を民主主義社会においている点では共通しているととらえられる。(2)「公共性」の構造は一様ではなく、「作られたものとしての公共性」「作っていくものとしての公共性」という二面性の間での重点の置き方が各カリキュラム・実践において異なっている。(3)「公共性」のとらえ方の違いは公民教育の意義と役割のとらえ方の違いと関連しており、具体的なカリキュラム・実践においては内容編成と方法原理の違いとして現れる。
