Research Abstract |
This research first performed educational training for understanding the concept of ESD, and the procedure of ESD curriculum development for grasping the actual condition of ESD as first purpose. The text for training was created and cooperation with National Museum of Ethnology performed large-scale educational training for August 6, 2007 and two days on the 7th as well as the 2006 fiscal year. The text created for this training is edited so that each participant can master the idea of international understanding education, the idea of ESD, the learning program of concrete ESD, the procedure of teaching-materials development or curriculum development, etc., and it not only acquired popularity from the participants in training very much, but it had much inquiries also from the teachers of many schools. ce distribution by the copy was desired from much more teachers even after text stock was lost, it distributed by copying 50 volumes hurriedly. The result of this workshop training carried out the presentation by the annual meeting of the Japan Association for International Education, and was carried by that society magazine as a paper. Next, as a concrete curriculum of ESD, the concept of museum outreach teaching materials was applied and "ESD outreach teaching materials" was developed. The outreach teaching materials which the Kashiba west junior high school in Nara developed jointly with the student of Bunkyo University at the last fiscal year (2006) were developed, and in the current fiscal year (2007), the Kamata elementary school belonging to the same school zone also joined research, and developed "the museum outreach teaching materials which cared about ESD" of the elementary school version. The presentation also in the annual meeting of the Japanese Society of Teaching Materials Studies was carried out, and this research result also performed the paper contribution of related contents. As of March 2008, the notice of having determined printing has arrived as a result of refereeing. Furthermore, by cooperation of Mr. Kumaraguru Ramayah who is the lecturer of the Faculty of Human resource and Development, University Technology Malaysia, the ESD outreach teaching materials developed this time were able to perform lesson practice also to the junior high school student in Malaysia, and were able to obtain high evaluation. This research will develop further from now on also by creating each other's outreach teaching materials which introduce the culture and the climate of a country of each other, and carrying out international exchange while the junior high school student and schoolchild of Japan and Malaysia alternate.
