Research Abstract

The aim of this research is to collect the basic information of the aggressive behaviour in primary school and make the practical discussion based on the evidence to analyse the causality and develop the intervention. Most of the previous researches of this field are based on the methodology of case study and the numbers of such cases are quite small. It is not enough to the aim mentioned above. So, these investigators tried to collect respectively big numbers and focus on not only the serious behaviours but also some signs of such behaviours.
We utilized two kinds of research, i.e. the questionnaire survey for the student and the reports on the problematic children by classroom teacher. The results showed (1) the incidents of students' aggressive behaviours, (2) the causality of such behaviours, and (3) two types of aggressive behaviours come from developmental disorder and selfish rudeness.
Those findings could not get by the old fashioned case studies. The new methodology targeting on a lot of children had these outcomes.
However, this methodology is strongly affected by the consciousness of classroom teachers, who are dominated by the opinion among mass media. We should improve how to make the surveys without such affection.
