Research Abstract

電子ビームの縦方向位相空間分布を測定するためにチェレンコフ放射によるプロファイル・モニターと偏向電磁石、ストリークカメラから構成される測定システムを開発した。電子ビームの検出感度を上げるために、チェレンコフ・モニターの放射媒質として疎水性エアロジェルを用いた。この縦方向位相空間測定システムは、これまで困難であった縦方向位相空間内での電子分布の評価を、より簡便な手法で実現した。また、このシステムは高い検出感度を有するため、これまで観測できなかった電子密度の低いバンチの裾野の部分を確認できるようになった。
