Research Abstract |
本申請研究によるCePt_3Siの超伝導の研究から, 超伝導状態における比熱の残留電子比熱係数γsが約34 mJ/K^2 molと多結晶試料(γs~200 mJ/K^2 mol)に比べ非常に小さくなっており, 試料の純良度の大幅な向上に成功した. 育成に成功した単結晶における比熱の反強磁性転移と超伝導転移によるピークは, これまでの結果と比較し非常にシャープであった. 平成20年度は超伝導状態における残留電子比熱係数sが真に有限なのか, あるいは試料の純良性をさらに向上させればゼロに近づくのか否かを, 微小単結晶試料(~10 mg)を用いた比熱測定により研究した. 電気抵抗測定による残留抵抗比から純良度を判断した. その結果, 試料の純良度をさらに向上させた場合, 超伝導転移や反強磁性転移による比熱のピークは若干鋭くなるものの, 残留電子比熱係数に関しては大きな変化は観測されなかった. このことはCePt_3Siの超伝導状態では本質的に残留状態密度が存在することが明らかとなった.
